A new school year! As your children get back to learning, why not take advantage of learning as well? Here at Messiah, we have a full menu for you to choose from. On Sundays from 9:15 to 10:00 am starting September 12th, in our adult Bible class we will continue our study of the basics of Christianity. We should finish this study by Thanksgiving. During the same time on Sunday, our teens will meet for Bible Study with Vicar. In our bi-weekly Bible class, starting Tuesday September 21st at 6:30 pm, we begin our study of “Gospel Motivation”, an eight part study of God’s will for our lives and how we put it into practice. We are also offering a new class for parents. “Families of the Bible” is a study that examines some common family challenges with a focus on biblical people and their families. By searching Scripture, study participants will learn that biblical family circumstances often parallel contemporary family life in many ways, revealing practical lessons for today’s parents. Preliminary plans are to start on Monday, October 4th at 6:30 pm. We’re also working on having child care available so our parents can relax and enjoy the study. Further information will follow in the weeks ahead. In addition to these opportunities, we will also be offering a Young Adult Bible Class. This is for college aged and older. Our first book on the docket this year will be C.S. Lewis’ The Screwtape Letters. We will read through a chapter and then discus it based on Scripture. Classes will begin September 8, at 7:30 following choir practice. Books will be available for $11. Contact Vicar if you are interested. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
