Welcome to the Messiah Lutheran Teen page! PDF Print E-mail

Come and see what God is saying to you about your faith and your life! Do you have questions about faith or the Bible? Do you have questions about what God wants for your life? God's Word has answers. Weekly Bible study is every Sunday morning at 9:15 in the youth group room at Messiah. Whether you've been to every Bible class, or this will be your first one, you're invited! Come and see what it's all about. Messiah Lutheran Church's Youth Group focuses on growth for teens between 9th and 12th grade.

At our last Bible study... PDF Print E-mail

At our last Bible study we took a guess at where we'll be at different points in the future. Where will you be in three months? A year? Five years? Ten? 25? More importantly, though, how will you stay close to God and his Word in the future? No matter where you are or where you will be, your faith should be the focus and foundation of your future, and let us all echo the words of Psalm 1, "Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night."

Missed the class but interested in what we went through? See Vicar for the class materials.

Personal Study PDF Print E-mail

Church services and weekly Bible studies are great opportunities to grow in faith, but what about during the week? One great way to strengthen your faith is through your own personal Bible study. Psalm 1 says that God will bless the person who delights in God's Word and studies it. Here are some ideas to help you get started with your own personal Bible study.

Devotion books. There are many great devotion books written for young adults. There are some in the vicar library. Feel free to borrow them! (Please sign the books in and out using the sheet on the shelves.) If you want more devotion book ideas, see Vicar.

The Bible. Have you ever read through the entire Bible? Here is a reading plan that will get you through every verse in the Bible in a year: www.bible-reading.com/bible-plan.pdf

Online resources. Is it easier for you to watch a devotion or listen to someone read it to you? Check out the WELS teen site for both (and daily written devotions too): http://www.livingbold.net
